Minitube Human ART draws crowds at 14th Alpha Conference
The 14th Alpha Conference, held from May 30 to June 2 in the vibrant city of Lisbon, Portugal, was an important gathering for the field of assisted reproductive technology (ART). The conference attracted approximately 350 embryologists from all over the world, making it a melting pot of ideas and innovations in reproductive biology.
Among the many exhibitors at the event, Minitube Human ART, represented by Paul Gassner and Michael Penker, attracted considerable attention with their well-visited booth. They displayed a selection of their most popular products, including the MultiCoder, CryoSealer, HTi 50 controller and warming plate, Steripette, and the five-well dish. These exhibits attracted a great deal of attention from visitors and reinforced Minitube's reputation as a specialist supplier in the ART field.
A highlight of the conference was the presentation of the "Robert Edwards Award" to Nuno Borges from Embryotools. Borges and colleagues received this award for a paper published in Reproductive BioMedicine Online (RBMO) in 2023, entitled "First babies conceived with automated ICSI (ICSIA)". Borges also delivered an engaging presentation, captivating the audience with insights into the future of lab automation in human IVF.
The 14th Alpha Conference not only facilitated the exchange of knowledge, but also set the stage for future advances in ART. Attendees left with great anticipation for the next edition, which is scheduled for 2026.
